Water removed, structure dried and the damage documented, so your home gets back to normal before mold and rot can start.
When water gets into a home, the clock starts. Carpet pad soaks it up, drywall wicks it upward, and hidden cavities stay wet long after the surface looks fine. The first day decides whether the job is a simple drying project or a much larger repair.
We start with a walk-through and moisture readings, find where the water went and where it is still hiding, then remove standing water and set drying equipment sized to the space. We keep daily records, so you know what is wet, what is drying and when the structure is dry.
Water travels. It runs under baseboards, behind cabinets and into the floor below. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to map the affected area, so drying covers everything that is wet and not only what you can see.
Pumps and extractors remove standing water first, because every gallon taken out by machine is a gallon the air does not have to carry away. Air movers and dehumidifiers then pull the remaining moisture out of materials and the air.
Many floors, walls and belongings dry successfully when work starts quickly. We tell you plainly what can be dried, what should be cleaned and what has to be replaced, and why.
Mold can begin within a day or two in warm, damp conditions, and drywall and wood weaken the longer they stay wet. The sooner drying starts, the more of your home stays in place and the smaller the repair.
